It’s finally time to unveil our new look football cards in Matchday Champions. Whether you have a seasoned squad of superstars, or your up and coming team is finding its footing, these cards will elevate your game experience.

Each football card features an officially licensed photo, behind which sits a dynamic background that can evolve with future editions. What are these editions? Patience young padawan, for all shall be revealed.

Player info is front and centre, ensuring you have all the crucial stats at your fingertips. Each card displays the footballer’s Overall Rating (OVR), which can be boosted, reflecting their performance on the pitch historically and recently. Tap the card, and you’ll reveal the Core Four stats – the heart of your tactical decisions.

Beyond the surface, intricate graphical elements bring to life the ‘inner world’ of each card. Although easily missed in regular play, the details are there to reward any player who spends the time examining their prized collection. Honestly, this is one of the more exciting parts of the cards, as the complexity of the inner world is also dynamic. What does it change based on? That is yet to be told! Nico Williams: An explosive talent, rock-paper-scissors master, bags of speed and agility. Pair him with Yamal for an envious winger setup.

Kylian Mbappé: The goal machine with or without a mask. Unmatched pace and precision and always unnervingly calm on the ball.

Lionel Messi: The football maestro, Messi’s card is the jewel of any collection.

Jude Bellingham: The young football prodigy, whose card mirrors his burgeoning potential. (And that scissor kick!)
